Festival fun and skills day
On the 11th March 2008 Boston held its annual schools football festival for schools that cater for children with severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, epilepsy, physical disability, sensory impairment and/or a communication difficulty.
The day was attended by several schools in the Boston area and over 30 children attended the day at princess royal arena, Boston.
Activities run in the morning were all skill based challenges including Goalkeeping, passing the ball and shooting. The children had to challenge themselves and put these skills into practice when in the afternoon the children all participated in football games.
The day was run by Paula Kirk, Assistant Headmaster at John Fielding Special School and Matt Haslam Partnership Development Manager at Boston Middlecott School and special thanks to the great coaches that supported the day!
