FA Charter Standard - The Process

Your club is considering Charter Standard. Where do you go from there?

Step 1
Visit the FA website via the related links section. Download a Charter Standard Club application form, and familiarise yourself with what criteria your club needs to meet for it to achieve the award. All application forms can be found on the FA Charter Standard tab on the left hand side.

Step 2
Make a call or pop into the Lincolnshire County FA where a member of the Development Team will be happy to assist you through the early stages, explain the criteria in more detail. Following the initial meeting you will have a better idea of the course of action to follow and a better understanding of the process and what is involved.

Step 3
Once you are underway and the information is cascaded through your club this is when we can assist you the most. There will of course be questions and areas for clarification. We will support you all the way on the phone, by club visits or if you prefer, you can come into the office for more direct support from the team.

Step 4
Once your application is received it is checked carefully to clarify that all the criteria has been met.

Step 5
The application is then taken to the Lincolnshire County FA working party for final comments. Final adjustments or amendments may be required at this stage.

Step 6
If all criteria are met your application is sent to the National FA for final approval,. You’re almost there!

Step 7
The club will be contacted directly and Lincolnshire County FA will arrange to present you with your well earned award. Well done!
