Small-Sided Football has surpassed 11-a-side to become the most commonly played form of the game in England. The FA has big plans for it's future development and the Lincolnshire FA Football Development Team is very keen to support this within the County.
In 2002, 4.4 million adults played small-sided football, with over a million involved in league or cup five-a-side. The numbers are ever rising with the growth of purpose built facilities and with people looking to play more flexible formats of football.
In the 2006/07 Season the FA launched the FAFives Small Sided Football Competition to provide local, regional and national competition for small sided teams.
