1. Area of Interest
The first thing you need to do for the process to become part of the football futures programme is to select an area that is of most interest to you, either Coaching, Officiating, Events, Promoting the Game, respect or Running the Game.
2. Application Form
Complete the application form that is on the website with all your details so that you can register to be part of the programme. Once you have completed this then please send the form to paul.hamnett@lincolnshirefa.com that will then make contact with you to discuss.
3. Getting involved with a football organisation
If you are already part of an organisation then this will have been highlighted within your application and the Lincolnshire FA will make contact with the organisation to highlight what you have signed up to. We will explain what they are doing and what we expect from the organisation.
If you are not part of an organisation then the Lincolnshire FA will then link you with an appropriate opportunity to enable you to volunteer in your chosen area. We will try and match you up with the closest organisation to minimise travelling and ensure it is accessible for you.
4. Your commitment to the programme
Once you are part of an organisation then it is up to you to discuss with them what you are able to commit to. There is no pressure on you to suddenly take up a major role within an organisation. However once in the programme the County FA will communicate with you via email to offer other opportunities and also to see how you are getting on.
You will also be required to submit on a monthly basis the number of hours you have completed with the organisations in which we record and then send off to the FA on a quarterly basis.
Furthermore there will be training opportunities you will be able to access on a local level where you will get to meet other Football Futures Volunteers and share the work and experiences you have.
Finally if anything changes for you as an individual then you need to let the Lincolnshire FA know so we can ensure we keep communicating. Also if you leave the County for any reason we can ensure you are put in contact with the County Football Association you will be moving to.
