The Girls & Goals Football Centres have been introduced to engage young female players to football within a fun-friendly environment, organised and delivered by FA Qualified Coaches and local elite female football players.
The Football Centres are currently running at the Keith Alexander Football Centre, Lincoln and Carre’s Grammar School, Sleaford; with a long-term vision from the County Football Association to develop more sites.
The Football Centres are set-up to primarily target females aged 7-11 years old and they run on one Saturday of every month.
Players do not have to have kits, but shin pads and suitable footwear must be worn (e.g. moulded boots, trainers etc). Metal studs and metal blades are not permitted. We advise all players to wear sports clothing similar to what they would wear for a games lesson at school.
This is a truly fantastic opportunity for girls to play football in the correct environment.
For more information or to sign players up to the Football Centre please contact our Women's and Girl's FDO on linzi.hewitt@lincolnshirefa.com or contact Matthew Evans, Football Development Manager, Carre's Grammar Scool, Northgate, Sleaford NG34 9TR.
