4th Girls Football Tornament

 

North lincolnshire have launched the Grimsby 7-a-side football festival is scheduled for June 14th at Bradley Pitches in Grimsby. This year there will be Girls U10, U12, U14, U16 and Open Age Ladies age groups.

North East Lincolnshire Council's Sports Development Unit works in partnership with Local and National Organisations in order to improve the quality and quantity of Sporting opportunities across North East Lincolnshire.

The Sports Development Team consists of a number of Sports Development officers who work in the following areas:

  • Community Sports Coaching Scheme
  • Volunteering in Sport
  • Sports Coaching
  • Sports Clubs
  • Positive Futures/Sport Lincs
  • Equality in Sport
  • The Sports Development Unit aims to:

Ensure that people within North East Lincolnshire have the opportunity to participate in high quality Sport and Physical Activity through upskilling sports coaches, teachers and volunteers who deliver/coach/instruct sports and physical activity.
Increase participation in Sport by 1 per cent year on year
Increase the number and quality of volunteers involved in sport and active recreation in North East Lincolnshire
Work with voluntary sports clubs and community groups to improve their structures and practices to provide high quality services
Develop opportunities to increase participation levels in sport and active recreation
Ensure that sport is equitable by developing opportunities to ensure that priority groups can access sport and active recreation
Support groups in accessing external funding to deliver sporting projects and activities
Engage "at risk" and "hard to reach" young people in Sport as a means of preventing Anti Social Behaviour and increasing social well being.
