Peterborough Young Referee's Evening

Thursday the 17th November saw the latest extremely successful Peterborough Young Referees Evening held with over 150 in attendance.

The guest of honour for the whole day was Premier League Referee Craig Pawson who undertook a tour of local Schools in the area which saw him engage with well over 600 children of all ages.

The evening session saw the Referees engage in training sessions delivered by FA Tutors from across the East Midlands before the main event when Craig gave an enriching presentation on meeting expectations in the professional game.

Award winners on the evening were Lincolnshire Referee Ray Smith who was named Peterborough RA Referee of the year. He is pictured receiving his award from Lincolnshire FA Area Delegate for Spalding Peter Camm and Craig Pawson.

Peter was recognised himself with the Services to Refereeing Award from Craig and Chairman of Peterborough Referee Association Robert Windle - a richly deserved award for his 40 plus years of service to Referees in South Lincolnshire.
