Lincoln Moorlands Railway FC have been presented with an FA Charter Standard kite-mark award.
With the club’s secretary and management staff all working hard since the start of the season towards the accreditation, the current Lincolnshire League champions were presented with the award at the last game of the campaign on 27 April 2019.
The award is presented to teams playing within an FA Charter Standard League who showcase sustainability and better operational standards as a grassroots football club.
Lincolnshire FA’s Senior Football Development Officer, Chris Funnell, said the award was richly deserved for the club considering the work that has been put in throughout the season.
He said: “Lincoln Moorlands Railway has been working hard throughout the course of the 2018-19 season. The league identified Lincoln Moorlands as one club within their structure that didn’t currently hold the accreditation and therefore as an FA Charter Standard League the club needed to start making headway towards achieving the award.
“The Club Secretary, Colin Hindmarsh, has been at the County FA offices regularly to discuss the club’s progress, which has seen them develop a specific football club constitution and support two volunteers through FA IFAiF qualifications; thus making the club that little bit more sustainable and professional on its approach.”
