CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRASSROOTS PROJECT OF THE YEAR WINNERS, BOTTESFORD TOWN!

Chairman of the club’s junior section, Steve Altoft, said: “I was happy and proud for our club to receive the recent notifications confirming that Bottesford Town Football Club had been nominated for both the ‘Grassroots Club of The Year’ and ‘Grassroots Project of The Year’ awards.

“The sense of pride became even more when we discovered that we were winners of ‘The Grassroots Project of The Year’ category for our DS Active Team.

“The accolade should obviously be shared with our great team of coaches, players and parents along with Sue Parkinson who has driven things forward from day one!

“On behalf of everyone in our club we are happy to accept this award but only disappointed that at the moment we can’t be part of a prestigious event, where we could all celebrate ours and other’s achievements.

“We strive to be an all-inclusive organisation, pulling from all aspects of the community and we aim to leave no one behind when welcoming them to our club.

“Downs Syndrome Football within our club has proved to be a massive success for both the people taking part, the coaches, parents and generally everyone within our organisation.

“The DS Active team have been welcomed and are continued to be integrated into our set up and feel they are now part of our structure for hopefully a long time to come.

“Many thanks to the Lincolnshire FA for organising these awards, which enable clubs to showcase the great things that are being done within grassroots football.”

Congratulations once again to everybody at Bottesford Town Football Club for winning this fantastic award.
