Ernie Broughton, the oldest referee affiliated to Lincolnshire FA, received his first Covid vaccination jab at Rustons Sport Center in Lincoln last Friday. 
Aged 81, Ernie, from Lincoln, has been refereeing since 1973 and is still out at least once a week on the Mid Lincs Youth League.

After receiving his Covid vaccination, Ernie was delighted and said he hoped it would protect lives and be the first step to life returning to some sort of normality – and he hopes to see us all back out on the pitches of Lincolnshire soon.
