Be part of our council, which provides a voice for young people involved in grassroots football within our county.

LINCOLNSHIRE FA IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS FOR THE LINCOLNSHIRE FA YOUTH COUNCIL. 

If you're aged between 14-24 years old and are looking to volunteer in football, you could be perfect for the role. 

What is the Youth Council?

The Lincolnshire FA Youth Council is a group of young people aged 14-24 who meet on a bi-monthly basis to provide support for County FA initiatives and are the voice for young people in Lincolnshire. 

It also provides opportunities for personal development through workshops and individual development plans to support future aspirations. 

Roles Available

All youth council member will be involved within projects across different areas within football, however each member has a specific area for their focus. The current roles available are:

Youth Coaches Rep
This role will be responsible for providing a voice to all young people (aged 14-21) involved in coaching or wanting to become involved in coaching. The role holder will work collaboratively to help create ideas for encouraging more young people into coaching and how to develop young coaches.  

Marketing and Communications 
This role holder will be responsible for ensuring the work of the LFA Youth Council is publicised to increase awareness and engagement of any initiatives, campaigns, projects, or events organised, delivered or supported by the council. The role holder will ensure that Lincolnshire FA’s values are adhered to within the youth council’s communications. The role holder will work collaboratively to help create ideas to use marketing and communication methods to achieve the NFA youth council’s, and Lincolnshire FA’s, objectives around engaging and supporting young people.

Joining the Youth Council is a great tool for personal development. The skills learned and developed during your time in the Youth Council such as planning, leadership, communication and teamwork will arm you with valuable skills required for success in your future career. There are also the opportunities to gain valuable experience through county-wide events and initiatives. 

As well as this, there is also the opportunity to represent the County FA on the FA national Leadership Academy program. 

What do we need from you?

Throughout the year, meetings will take place on a bi-monthly basis at a variety of times and potential venues. 

The Youth Council members will have responsibility working in a specific area within the game. Members will also be liaising with staff development teams to work on specific projects for which they will be required to attend associated events for during the season. 

We ask applicants to consider if they feel they will be able attend at least 75% of Youth Council commitments during the season before submitting an application.  

Who should apply?

The Youth Council is available to anyone aged 14-24 years old, so if you are motivated about increasing youth representation across grassroots football in the county and to raise awareness of opportunities for young people, then this is the role for you.

Please note, if you are under the age of 18, we will need a parent/guardian’s contact information and consent.

There is no prior experienced needed and a background in football is not a necessity.
