Supporting the best young female talent in Lincolnshire.
In 2016, Boston United were awarded a Tier 3 licence to run a Girls’ Regional Talent Club (RTC), enabling them to deliver coaching and education to the best young female footballers in the County to help them reach their fullest potential.
The RTC replaces the previous Centre of Excellence and Player Development Centre model to create a pathway for girls’ football and bridge the gap between grassroots and elite football. It is designed to enhance skills and development so female players can strive to become part of the FA Girls’ England talent pathway.
Boston United are the only club in Lincolnshire to be awarded the licence, and are committed to the development of girls' football. Being based in Boston means they are a central hub for girls in the wider locality to develop their skills, and the new structure introduced by the FA is recognition of the need to develop the women’s game at all age groups.
The RTC runs teams in the following age groups – Under 12s, 14s and 16s. To support the development of girls into our Regional Talent Club age groups, we will also be running our own Under 9, Under 10 and Under 11 age groups independently.
