SUPPORTING FEMALE PROVISION AND GROWING THE GAME
Those wanting to assist in the growth of women’s football in Lincolnshire have a great opportunity to do just that this January with an FA Female Friendly Club Training Workshop, supported by Barclays, taking place in the county.
Hosted by Rustons Sports and Social Club on Monday 13 January 2020, the workshop will give practical advice for clubs on how best to create an environment that encourages women and girls to get involved in football.
Specifically, learners will be given advice on how to increase female participation within football at their club by two FA-appointed consultants, as well as assistance from Lincolnshire FA Football Development Officer, Steph Powell.
Off and on-pitch considerations will be examined, with real-life case studies also set to be included, giving attendees an excellent idea of how to implement the theory learned within their own club.
Participants should arrive at approximately 5:30pm and the workshop is expected get underway at 6pm and finish at 9pm.
Two representatives from each attending club would be ideal, with coaches and club committee members very welcome to attend.
