GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL IN ENGLAND POSTPONED FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE
Following the Government’s announcement on Monday 16 March for people to avoid social contact and gatherings where possible, and in line with Football Association advice, we are now advising that all grassroots football in Lincolnshire is postponed for the foreseeable future.
Throughout this period, we have taken Government advice with the priority being the health and wellbeing of all. We will continue to work closely with the grassroots game during this time.
We are in regular communication with the Government and the situation within English football at all levels remains under regular review. Further updates will follow as needed via www.lincolnshirefa.com, @LincolnshireFA on Twitter and Lincolnshire Football Association on Facebook.
The Lincolnshire Football Association recommends that all leagues and clubs follow this advice and that there is no football activity for the foreseeable time. This includes training sessions and friendlies.
The County FA have suspended all of our activities (County Cups, Football Development Programmes and Coach Education Programme) with immediate effect. All courses and events affected by this decision will be rescheduled where possible.
In the meantime, we wish our local football community well and urge them to follow the latest advice which can be found here:
Lincolnshire FA has a responsibility to its staff and stakeholders within the grassroots football community to adhere to the latest government advice relating to COVID-19, which is reflected in our new working arrangements. Our staff will continue to work from home for the foreseeable future and we will continue to be available at all times to you, the grassroots football community, during this difficult time.
