Inclusive (Disability) Football

Lincolnshire FA is striving to ensure that every person that wants to be involved in the game can be. There are opportunities for a player with a disability to access football across the county at various levels in Lincolnshire is growing.

Whether you are an enthusiastic grassroots player who enjoys a kick about with friends, or if you have ambitions to develop as a player and potentially play for your country we have a pathway for you.

What we do:

Just Turn up & Play Centres; During the 2017/18 season the FA will be supporting more clubs and the County FA in running Just turn up & play centres, with a priority to set up more regular provision for youth and females players to access the game. Sessions will be advertised when organised.

Talent Identification Programme; Lincolnshire FA have been awarded a license by the FA to deliver an FA Disability Talent Identification Programme (TIP) this season to identify players between the ages of 11-16 years old. Therefore, Lincolnshire County FA will be hosting an England Talent Day.

Lincolnshire Ability Counts League; is a PAN Disability league which operates on a festival basis with teams across Lincolnshire and come together once a month at a central venue for their fixture days. The Ability Counts League has 21 Male Adult teams across 3 divisions, One under 16 league with 5 teams. Within this, players have the opportunity to be selected for the Lincolnshire Ability Counts Representative 11aside team.

Football & Education - SEN League - Football opportunities' in schools to enhance links between schools and local football clubs.

Powerchair Football - Providing different formats of football for players any ages with different types of disability.

Representative Squad - Lincolnshire Ability Counts Representative Squad is an 11-aside team that was formed during the 16/17 season, with a primary aim to provide an additional opportunity for players to develop and experience the 11v11 format of the game. The primary aim of the pan-disability representative squad is to provide an additional player development pathway and format of the game for players that play within the ability counts league.
