Lincolnshire FA Futsal School Games Huge Success

Over recent years Lincolnshire FA have grown their Futsal School Games event, due to capacity and opportunity available, the competition only…

The event was held at The Mere’s Leisure Centre, Grantham between 10am – 3.30pm. Each School Sports Partnership was tasked with running an intra SSP competition in order for winners to progress to the Lincolnshire FA School Games finals. The competition itself was U12 and U14’s for both male and female, ensuring growth from previous years. On the day of the event 29 schools were in attendance from across the county with 192 players being registered to play within the competition across all ages and genders.

After some extremely high quality futsal on show throughout the event, the winners were determined in all 4 competitions, whom will be offered the opportunity to represent Lincolnshire at the Regional Youth Futsal Festival in Leicester.

U12 Boys – Carre’s Grammar School, Sleaford.

U12 Girls – Queen Elizabeth High School, Gainsborough.

U14 Boys – Kings School, Grantham.

U14 Girls – Tollbar Academy, Grimsby.

There were also 4 RESPECT winners across all 4 age groups, these schools were chosen by the young leaders who officiated, co-ordinated results and support schools throughout the event. The RESPECT winners were determined on how schools conducted themselves throughout the event; players and teachers, ethos during competition etc. The winners of the RESPECT awards were the following;

U12 Boys – Skegness Grammar

U12 Girls – Spalding High School

U14 Boys – The Gainsborough Academy

U14 Girls – King Edward Grammar, Louth.

I’d like to thank all involved within the event and look forward to hosting next season.
