LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION IS SEEKING INDIVIDUALS TO JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Lincolnshire Football Association (LFA) is the not-for-profit governing body of football in Lincolnshire.
This is an exciting time for football and the LFA hopes to use the power of football to build a better future for the game in Lincolnshire and to lead the successful development of the sport at every level across the county.
Today we have over 1,600 teams under our banner, stretching across one of the largest geographical counties in the country. We have delegated powers from the FA to manage rules and regulations to ensure fair play in the grassroots game, both on and off the pitch. Now is a challenging and interesting time for football.
The Directors of the LFA direct and monitor the business affairs of the Association, by determining the vision, strategy, plans, policies and financial investment required to achieve the overall long-term business objectives.
The Association is committed to creating a Board of diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds who can add value to the game and our activities in Lincolnshire. The Association welcomes applications from skilled individuals within the football community from all sectors of industry such as business, financial, professional, commercial, corporate, HR and safeguarding backgrounds who can support the current Directors to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Specifically, the Association is recruiting individuals to drive the organisation forward and to become a ‘Board Champion’ in the following areas:
To be active in championing the safeguarding of children and young people (under the age of 18) and vulnerable adults in football.
Football - Retain
To oversee the retention of and development of current and new players, clubs, coaches and referees in both traditional and non-traditional football settings.
Football - Growth (Facilities)
To engage key partners at a high strategic level to unlock investment opportunities and maximise resources that will enable the game to grow at all levels.
The positions are voluntary; travel expenses are provided to attend meetings and relevant events.
