Lincolnshire FA Council Recruiting New Area Delegates

The Lincolnshire FA Council is recruiting new area representatives

Lincolnshire Football Association are seeking to recruit new Area Delegates for the Council of the Lincolnshire FA.

A strong functioning Council underpins the Associations work within our football communities. The Council’s function is to assist with implementation of the footballing strategy, policies and overall direction of LFA’s work. The area delegate as an active member of the Council works in partnership with staff and Board members to support the development of grassroots football in their local area and to be a conduit, voice and link between the leagues, clubs and the Association.

A review of the current Council structure has highlighted the need to extend the number of Area Delegates to ensure all football communities across the county are represented and have a voice and input into the decisions impacting on Lincolnshire football.

Following the review, we are seeking to appoint new delegates for the following areas:

East Lindsey North
serving Louth, Mablethorpe, Somercoates, Alford, Wragby and the surrounding areas

West Lindsey East
serving Market Rasen, Caistor, Tealby, Welton, Nettleham and the surrounding areas

City of Lincoln
serving the city of Lincoln and Saxilby

North Kesteven North
serving Hykeham, Navenby, Metheringham and the surrounding areas

North Kesteven South
serving Sleaford, Heckington, Ruskington and the surrounding areas

South Kesteven North
serving Grantham and the surrounding areas

South Kesteven South
Bourne, Stamford, Market Deeping and the surrounding areas

Successful candidates will have a knowledge and passion of football in the local area. They will be excellent communicators, with the ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a voluntary stakeholder environment. They will bring a strong empathy for, and embed themselves within, the broader culture of Lincolnshire FA and our football community. We are committed to improving diversity within our organisation, and we would like to specifically invite applications from under-represented groups. We would be delighted to hear from interested individuals who share our vision and have the ambition and expertise to help us to deliver a bright future as we look to enhance a strong Council connected to the communities we serve.

To be eligible, a candidate has to live in the area they wish to represent, and must not have reached the age of 70.

This recruitment process is being managed by the Nominations and Appointments Committee of the Association. To apply for the role at this initial stage, we require a letter of application outlining your skills and experiences and what you would bring to the role, and a completed diversity monitoring form.
