Inclusion Advisory Group Recruiting New Members

We are recruiting for an Ethnicity and Culture Community Ambassador, a Religion and Faith Community Ambassador, and a Secretary

Lincolnshire FA's Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) are seeking to recruit three new members - an Ethnicity & Culture Ambassador, a Religion & Faith Community Ambassador, and a Secretary.

We are committed to ensuring everyone who is involved in football in the county has a great experience – regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability or disability, faith, or age.

The Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) are a group of individuals whose focus lies within driving equality and inclusion within football in Lincolnshire. The role of the group is to check, challenge and support Lincolnshire FA to ensure everything we do is inclusive and accessible for all. The IAG also help Lincolnshire FA branch out to new communities and organisations to provide everyone with the opportunity to be part of the game in our county.

The IAG meets once every two months to support the work of the wider organisation.

Community engagement ambassador - Ethnicity & Culture

The role of the Lincolnshire FA Community Ambassadors is to support Lincolnshire FA in embedding EDI across grassroots football, form a skilled and empathetic workforce, and a network of volunteers to support the County FA in achieving the targets set out in our Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan.

The role of the Community Engagement Ambassador for Ethnicity and Culture is to support Lincolnshire FA in supporting and engaging with players and volunteers across a range of different cultures and ethnic groups. The ideal candidate will act as an advocate and role model for grassroots football, promoting inclusion of individuals across a range of cultures and ethnic groups, and will support the County FA across their campaigns and initiatives related to ethnicity and culture.

The Community Engagement Ambassador – Ethnicity and Culture role is voluntary.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model for and advocate within grassroots football in relation to Ethnicity and Culture.
  • Raise awareness of Ethnicity and Culture within football.
  • Support the County FA and the wider grassroots community with advice related to Ethnicity and Culture.
  • Sit on the Lincolnshire FA Inclusion Advisory Group.
  • Support the identification, writing and promotion of case studies, news stories and updates in relation to Ethnicity and Culture in football.
  • Drive inclusion through club visits and at Lincolnshire FA Events where appropriate.

Community Engagement Ambassador - Religion & Faith

IAG Secretary

The role of the IAG Secretary is to support Lincolnshire FA IAG with a range of administrative duties.  As well as contributing to the IAG’s wider inclusion work as outlined in the IAG Application Pack, the ideal candidate will be able to effectively and efficiently deal with correspondence, take and distribute minutes of meetings, and lead on scheduling and sharing meeting invites.

The Inclusion Advisory Group - Secretary role is voluntary.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Chair and Vice-Chair in effective running of the Inclusion Advisory Group
  • Take minutes of meetings and distribute to members
  • Keep thorough records of all group business
  • Action or distribute relevant correspondence
  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee running of the IAG Whatsapp group, including ensuring all members have access

The Inclusion Advisory Group Secretary will work directly with the Lincolnshire FA Inclusion Advisory Group and the Lincolnshire FA Disability and Inclusion Football Development Officer.
