FA Skills Team

What We Do

The FA Skills team has been in place since 2007, meaning they have coached thousands of children (5-11) in hundreds of schools, FA Charter Standard Clubs, Skills Centres and Holiday sessions across Lincolnshire.

The job of the team is to work closely with teachers, coaches and parents to engage young people in fun and age appropriate activities that encourage them to have confidence and learn new skills along having a active and healthy lifestyle.

Schools & Clubs

The FA Skills programme's specialist coaches have been delivering high-quality P.E. sessions for primary schools since 2007.

Working alongside teachers, they have highlighted the different ways in which creative methods can be implemented within Physical Education.

Sessions are planned alongside the National Curriculum and teachers have access to the detailed plans from start to finish. This service for schools is FREE due to the programme being funded by Sport England.

Also new this year, the FA Skills programme are delighted to offer Girls Only sessions as part of their delivery within schools – All players engaged will be supported with the transition from school football to community based activity.

Another key area of work is to support FA Charter Standard Clubs. Grassroots coaches are actively encouraged to use the FREE support of FA Skills to pass on key messages, such as the England DNA coaching fundamentals and future game philosophy.
