BT Playmaker by England Football is our new, free online entry-level football course perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football. This course is also a pre-request for the FA introduction to coaching football.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN COURSE

A new Safeguarding children course is now available on the Boot Room for all learners. Should you never have held this qualification or need to renew your current this is the course to complete. This course will take 90 to 120 minutes and cost £30.00.

INTRODUCTION TO COACHING IN FOOTBALL

The new Introduction to Coaching Football course is now available. This course has replaced the old FA Level 1 in Coaching Football. For more information and to book the course please use the link below. A pre-request for this course is the BT playmaker. This course costs £160.00 and includes both the Safeguarding Children & Introduction to First aid course.

Are there any pre-requisites for booking onto a coaching course?

Each coaching course has its own specific pre-requisites, which can be found on the individual course pages. It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure they meet the pre-requisites before booking onto the chosen course.

Can I book a course for someone else?

No, unfortunately not. Each individual learner is required to book their place using their own FAN and password.

What if I don't know or have forgotten my FAN?

How do I get my Safeguarding Children certificate?

Safeguarding certificates should be available for download via your FA Learning profile at the following link: http://learning.thefa.com/index.php. Then, please use the following instructions:

- Sign In > Find Awards > Certifications > Safeguarding Children > View Award > Certificate

How do I do the Online Safeguarding Children Re-Certification?

You can access it using the following link: http://learning.thefa.com/index.php. Then, please use the following instructions:

- Sign In > Active Learning > Required Learning > Safeguarding Children > Launch Course beside 'Online Safeguarding Children Re-Certification'

How do I get my First Aid certificate?

First Aid certificates should be available for download via your FA Learning profile at the following link: http://learning.thefa.com/index.php. Then, please use the following instructions:

FA Coaching certificates

If your certificates aren’t showing on your FA account following the steps in the short video, you will need to contact FA education (education@thefa.com) providing your FAN, the name of the course which is missing and the date you completed this. They will then be able to update your account and provide a PDF copy of your certificate.
