Respect

The Respect Campaign in Lincolnshire

The Respect campaign was launched by The FA in the 2008/09 season. The campaign's most recent mantra of ‘We Only Do Positive’ aims to improve behaviour on touchlines across the country by raising awareness of Respect amongst a new generation of parents, coaches, volunteers and players.

The Lincolnshire FA have really got behind The Respect Campaign in the 2019/20 season by introducing different events and incentives to try and help create a positive and safe environment for our children and young people and promote awareness.

In October 2019 we released the start of our monthly competition ‘Respect Team Of The Month’. The aim behind the competition is to identify teams that demonstrate outstanding Respect at a fixture in the awarding month. However, over the short time it has been running we also identified that there were certain events taking place in the county where all the teams involved collectively demonstrated positive and outstanding behaviour.

We have received lots of nominations over the months for numerous different reasons, all worthy of the award and it has been hard to pick winners out.

We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has nominated since October and also a massive congratulations to all those that have won the award so far.

o October – North Lindum Hawks U11 Athletics
o November – Nettleham FC U16
o December – Lowlands JFC U11 Bolts
o January – Skegness Imps FC U8 Sharks
o February – Girls & Goals League.

Please keep up all the good and positive behaviours you have been demonstrating and we are looking forward to handing the Respect Award out again in the 2020/21 season.
