Ben Turczyn "Extremely Grateful" to Receive Adult Coach of the Year Award

Congratulations to Ben and thank you to everyone who nominated

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2020 COACH OF THE YEAR (ADULT), HYKEHAM TIGERS’ BEN TURCZYN

Shortlisted alongside Boston United’s Lewis Wright, Ben was a popular winner in this year’s Lincolnshire FA Grassroots Football Awards and here’s what he had to say…

“I am extremely grateful to everyone that has voted for me and supported me through my coaching path. Hykeham Tigers FC gave me an opportunity to not only start my coaching journey but also to help financially get to where I am today, by supporting me through my level 1 and level 2 FA courses.

“I initially joint the Tigers coaching the U10 B Team which I stayed with for two years before setting up a brand-new team in men's football. During my journey I have met some fantastic coaches, players and parents from internal and external clubs.

“I feel privileged to have such a great relationship with all of my current players and due to the team having a variety of knowledge and playing experience, this has helped us all to bond; supporting one another as a TEAM.

“Future goals - as a coach I believe ‘knowledge’ is key, therefore I hope to get accepted onto a UEFA B course in the near future to support my team through each step of their playing journey. My long-term aim is to take my team through the ranks, eventually progressing into Saturday league football, having a target for all youth players to aim for.”

Congratulations again to Ben and thank you to everyone who nominated. To read more from our 2020 winners, keep an eye on the news section of our website.
