A 3v3 Festival pitch at Humberston

3v3 Football – A New Way To Play!

More touches, more goals, more fun!

On Sunday 9th July, Pitchside Football & Lincolnshire FA, in partnership with Humberston Junior Football Club, hosted an innovative 3v3 festival for mini-soccer teams [U7-10].

An incredible 31 teams from 11 different clubs visited Wilton Fields in Grimsby to enjoy a new format of the game which has fun & enjoyment at its very core. All fixtures were played inside of an inflatable pitch, leading to non-stop action & non-stop fun! The tighter dimensions of the pitch, alongside the smaller team format, allows for more technical actions per player within a game which is so important when it comes to providing children & young people with an enjoyable football experience.

We want to thank Pitchside once again for their excellent organisation and commitment to delivering innovative football opportunities in Lincolnshire.

Jake Park, Football Development Manager at Lincolnshire FA, said: "I am absolutely delighted that we’re able to offer 3v3 football to children & young people in Lincolnshire. It’s a fantastic format of the game, the players always leave the pitch smiling and that is what football at mini-soccer level should be about; fun & enjoyment. The inflatable pitches mean that every player is always involved in the game, keeping them engaged and keeping them having fun. I would like to place on record my thanks to Rebecca Good and Humberston JFC for being terrific hosts again this year, and to Benn and his team at Pitchside Football for all of their hard work to ensure the day runs as smoothly as it did. The partnership we have developed with Pitchside Football is very important to us, the vision to be at the forefront of delivering innovative & fun football experiences is shared across both organisations."
