Pan-Disability Youth Friendly Festival Announced

The Friendly Festival offers a structured playing opportunity to bring together disability football opportunities across Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire FA, in partnership with the Lincolnshire Ability Counts League, are pleased to announce their first Pan-Disability Youth Friendly Festival on Sunday 19th November 2023, from 10am to 12pm.

The Friendly Festivals offer a structured playing opportunity to bring together a range of disability football opportunities across Lincolnshire at a central venue.

The event takes place at the Priory Pembroke Academy, Croft Lane, Cherry Willingham, Lincoln, LN3 4JP.

The entry fee is £10 per team (games will be 6-a-side) and there will be separate age groups for Under 8s, Under 10s, and Under 12s.

Teams do not need to be affiliated through the Whole Game System to participate in this event. Recreational sessions are eligible to participate. The event will also be open to individual players to attend, who will then be grouped with teams on the day.

If you are aware of any individual players that might like to attend, please direct their parent/carer to the Player Entry Form here.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email including further details, team sheets, and consent forms.

Jordan Mason, Football Development Officer (Disability & Inclusion), said: "We're pleased to announce our Youth Friendly Festivals for young people with disabilities. This new opportunity provides a semi-structured, semi-competitive format of football for those aged 8-16 with Special Educational Needs, or disabilities. We're really excited to see teams and players from all across Lincolnshire to provide new opportunities."
