Lincolnshire FA partner with Adam Gibbons Sport Foundation to deliver Project Defib
Lincolnshire FA is proud to announce a collaboration with the Adam Gibbons Sport Foundation (AGSF) to deliver 'Project Defib' to football clubs across the County.
Clubs can access this funding by completing the following application form. As per the terms of the agreement, only clubs from the following Local Authorities will be applicable for the funding; West Lindsey, East Lindsey, North Kesteven and the City of Lincoln. All applicants have until the 8th March to apply.
The Adam Gibbons Sport foundation was created in 2008 in memory of Adam – a wonderful son, brother and friend. Everyone knew about Adam’s love of sport – from football and judo to golf and snooker, he played just about everything. So it was decided that the best way to remember him was to set up a charity, supporting talented young athletes in the local area to achieve their full potential. The foundation has donated over £100,000 in support of young athletes and local sporting organisations.
Prior to completion of the form, please be aware that as a club or site if you are successful, you agree to be responsible for the upkeep of the defib; purchasing replacement pads every 2-3 year as well as a new battery approximately every 5 years.
You will also be responsible for registering the defib with the LFA onto the circuit, promoting the donation and advertise access availability to the local community, as well as attending training and put together a 'how to use' video for all club members to be aware of.
You are also willing to fund or support with funding a 'storage box' where a defib needs permanent residence this box must be plugged into an electrical supply.
Priority will be given to those sites that do not currently have a defibrillator already on site.

Luke Craggs, Interim Football Development Officer (Male Pathway), said: "Being able to work with the Adam Gibbons Sports Foundation is a true priviledge. Having been aware of the hard work they have done and continue to do so and now being able to be a part of that moving forward.
Allowing our network of football clubs the chance to be provided a defibrillator to sites across Lincolnshire is vital to support communities. From our work with the British Heart Foundation understanding the importance of having defibs available shows how beneficial this project can be!"
